You ask a pretty specific question. You'll get opinions, hopefully good ones, but without knowing you, or the specifics, internet replies are shots in the dark..opinions by non-professionals. 6. Word I got from Tech support is it wasn't possible. So, we got tolerance and asking people nicely but firmly to Leave your Thread. Believe me I've been there. I've also been on the other end. Making a humorous statement and being told to bug off. When that happens and I'm decent & smart, I apologize and erase my post(s) and write something elsewhere. That happened just a week or two ago, so sometimes it works.
  7. It'll never be done that fast. We just went through a 3 month period with no mods or moderation at all. People here will not get banned or disciplined at your whim. So if that's what you need, you should leave. We do read and discuss Reports though, and will deal with Spam. Course there's also the SPAM of over Reporting.
  8. I can bring up the 'block' to tech support. Don't know if its possible and they are working on other things right now. But I'll ask. For topics you really want to keep sacred, the PPF are better. Where at least you can hide things. Let the moderators know about problems, maybe we help. Though at some point, some things will have to be lived with. And considered the trying side of cultivation.
  9. New Moderator Team

We're work on getting permissions to set up PPDs and opening up the Gender sub forums to those who request it. Might take a little bit, but its in the works, and the sooner the better.

A long time ago we had some threads on 'orgone' generators. Swirly metalic paper weights said to generate positive subtle energies. Now, a decade later, I don't think they ever became the 'hit' some hoped for. imo Energy generation has gotta come from the bottom up. Diet, exercise, sleep, chi gung/yoga/awarness and the like. On the other hand I applaud those who are willing to explore new things.. as long as they're careful. Many good things are coming from those willing to 'hack' there life. Keeping careful records and hopefully being careful not to fool themselves. Fast breathing like Wim Hof and 'Rebirthing' can bring intense, trippy feelings. What's been suggested to me is Don't get hung up on them, but figure out what, if anything, you can learn from it. Your post reminded me of the Glenn Morris book 'Pathnotes of a ..' good book, bad title. He had many exercises working with perception. Haven't done it lately but when walking I'd keep my eyes closed for 30-40 steps, as long as it seemed safe. Reaching out with the other senses. A good, slightly dangerous practice. Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you, Nice to have you here. There are many types of meditation. Some simple, others complex. Simple- sit quietly, comfortably, back straight. Put a smile on your lips. See if you can put a smile on your heart too, a thought, or happy feeling.. then just sit. Or count your breaths, 1-10 and back again. Do a couple of rounds.. then sit in peace. Welcome, when it comes to martial arts, check out what's relatively nearby. I've come to believe the teacher is more important then the art. A great teacher will get you further and be more inspiring in a so so art, then a mediocre teacher in what you conceive as fabulous or exotic. Try out classes or at least audit them. Look closely at the senior students, that what you will become, not the teacher but the people who've trained under them. Welcome, my general rule of thumb is when a practice gets too hot or strange, back off, slow it down or stop I'm sure you'll find advice here, take it with a grain of salt. Many systems seem to end practice with drawing energy back to the hara and a body rub/tap/massage. I wonder if such a thing might help you? Perhaps best to ask your question in the Healing section. It be great to hear more about your pranayama exercises. Often people have different practices with the same name.
