  1. Hello everyone! These last days I tried some new stretches that you suggested here, the easy ones. Nevertheless, the majority of these stretches are very dificult to execute or in some I need a friend to help me in stretching. I have a yoga mat and some pillows. Can you tell me some stretchings for beginners like me please? Thank you
  2. Breath vs Mantra meditation

I leave here a mantra that I have done throughout the day when I do my chores. I hope you like it.
  3. Thank you Seatle185! I'll try it and I'll give you some feedback within a few days.
  4. Hello everyone. Thank for your suggestions. I really need to improve my flexibility. For a long time, I had a sedentary life and now I perceive that my flexibility is poor. Since I started to meditate, I began to do some stretches. I found a channel on Youtube, the Yoga TX and they helped me a lot. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAwPqAM_ONIyI1EHU5hDe4Q Still, my flexibility is far from perfect. Are there any stretches you can share that will allow me to sit cross-legged without discomfort for a while? 1 hour for example.

  6. Breath vs Mantra meditation

Namaste Living, First of all, I want to thank you about the important questions that you are sharing here. It's very important to share our experiences and leave here some suggestions for improvement of our sadhanas. Focus on Breath or verbally or mentally vocalize a mantra can produce the same results. These methods were created to calm down your mind. And why do you want to calm down the mind? To take you to YOU. To realize that there is a witness who either is aware of his breath or is carried away by the words that are being spoken through the mantra. What is certain is that it does not matter what method which you use but rather if you give yourself to your Self. That will make all the difference. Do it and you will see.

Thank you for your advise. I'll follow it. I keep doing these asanas too (daily) and I confess that I exceeded some objectives. For example, a few years ago, for me it was impossible to sit on the floor, for more than 15 minutes without getting my legs numb. It was terrible. But with perseverance and persistence, we break these barriers. And as you and your guru have said and actually say, pain is created by the mind. In fact, all barriers are created by the mind. So I will continue with my asanas taking this into account. About your guru, all I can say is that he may have left the body but will always remain in you, in your heart. Just go there and you'll see him... being you.
  8. Rama -Sita Ram, mantra

Awesome! I love Krishna Das and his powerful songs.
  9. Nisargadatta Maharaj - Lost Satsang

  10. Om is Brahman

Pronounce it from your heart, and you'll find its source. This source is you. Stay there. OM

Namaste Seatle185, Can you tell me where I can find these topics please? I didn't find it. Thank you.
  12. Searching for Truth

Thank you so much Limahong I won't. Before I start my practices, I tried some asanas to develop my flexibility. With that I could extend some time on my practices without pain. My previous jobs were seated. Long hours sitting on a chair. Driving a car. I sat all day. Of course, all of this provoked a sedentary lifestyle. Yes! Highest goal! I really have to perceive that I'm not my ego-mind. I'm not this illusion. And when I perceive it completely, when my ego-mind vanish, I will understand that there is no goal to reach. I just need to be... being! Rare or not, That's the only thing to do! Namaste! /.\

Thank you for sharing these treasures. Reading them helped me a lot to focus on my center. Ashtavakra Gita? I've heard about this book very well. By the way, it's one of the books I'm thinking about buying.

  15. Searching for Truth

Hello Everyone! First of all, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of this Great Forum. I'm sure that by sharing your knowledge and experiences, I'll be able to reach my goals more easily. My journey began some years ago. Tired of looking for happiness in objects (which was becoming more and more unsuccessful), I decided to seek help. Knowing that the truth was in me, one day my brother introduced me to Kriya Yoga. I practiced Kriya Yoga for several months, but as my practice increased, I began to resent my lack of flexibility from years of sedentary life. At this point, I realized that my flexibility wouldn't allow me to evolve. I searched for new stretches, new asanas but the discomfort I felt as the practices were increasing, it was also bigger. I couldn't accept that my body would not be responsible for my failure. Sahaja Samadhi is my highest goal. For this reason, I searched for alternatives and I found some books about Self Enquiry and Advaita. Since then, I have been reading books about Sri Ramana Maharshi's talks and Nisargadatta's talks. They are helping me a lot. Drop the ego-mind is my goal. Drop the Duality is my goal. Drop the Illusion is my goal. Manonasa is my goal. Namaste!
