  1. Introduction

Hello to all on the forum. I've been very interested in Qigong, Neigong and Daoism for the last three years. I have read a lot on this forum and found many things helpful, so thought it was time I joined. Thank you very much for all the help I have found over these years! I practice Zhan Zhuang/standing meditation most days and also practice Zuowang/sitting and forgetting alongside a variety of moving forms. I practice most days - generally before breakfast. I'm particularly interested in women's forms and Daoist traditions. I'm by no means expert - my alignments could do with improvement, although I am finding that standing meditation is helping with this a lot. When doing standing - and indeed sitting meditation - I have increasingly seeking to adopt an attitude of wu wei and am finding that the less I strive to control/grasp/reject the movements of the mind or body and the more I can relax and simply observe that the mind, breath and body shift towards where they should naturally be. I also find Mark Cohen's suggested master points for relaxation very helpful in this matter. All the best to you all, Z
