  1. Thank you for posting this. As someone who is very new to this I like reading different perspectives on this before I get comfortable and stuck in one point of view. When I first was reading about the writing of Lau Tzu the fact that this was more directed at rulers came up but not many details were given. Also many people do indeed gloss over this. Which seems odd.
  2. hello bums

Hello, fellow new bum. Seems like you've done a lot before coming here. At the very least much more than I.
  3. Furthering Studies

    Hello, fellow new bum.
  4. What are you listening to?

Relistening to the podcast Uhh Yeah Dude.
  5. Someone explain feminism/sexism to me

At its root feminism is about equality among genders. It is feminism, and not masculinism, because usually the disparity has historically favored males and those who are masculine. Gender itself is kind of weird. Some people don't pay it any attention and some people are extra keen on it. A lot of gender roles are guidelines and expectations. The certain quality that makes someone truly feminine or truly masculine is hard to define. Partly because those terms are a little nebulous. But yeah, what? Pooping like a little girl?
  6. Hello

Hello. A new bum is here. A few months ago I decided to look into Taoism. Didn't know what it actually really was. I think it is neat so I am here to learn more. I've read the Tao Te Ching and I am reading Chuang Tzu's book now. I'm also a big Ursula K. Le Guin but that is only somewhat related.
  7. Hello

Book. Modern or old. Informative video. Podcast. Lecture. Not too picky as long as the information is quality.
  8. Hello

Thank you for the welcome. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a solid introduction to Qi or source material about it? I've read a lot of people's views on it and I know by its nature it is kind of hard to define for another person. Still I would like a reputable source to start with.
