Yes it's also a Heart Yin so it goes deep unlike the Monkey which is more about the ego, power play and pranks, but Monkeys are also analytical. Just go easy and slowly as roosters do and you'll collect those 'golden eggs' (rewards as it's a male not a hen) in the long run. I also like this Metal Fire combination, suits my practice really well but also making sure Wood is well nourished or you'll call yourself for trouble since this element mothers Fire. Fire without Wood is like trying to run a car with an empty tank, you simply can't! So love and respect the trees you practice with on a daily basis.
The new element starts to really kick in after two months or so as we are now in a transitioning period between animals. April sometimes can deliver some late unexpected energy from the leaving animal. Be prepared for one last prank from the fiery Ape. https://mobile.nytim...iac-monkey.html
