Recommended Posts

Do whatever you can to consult again a TCM doctor, and, for heaven sake, stop any practice.

Stop all energetic practices. Basically treat any sensation you may feel of qi as delusion and ignore it.

Chant 'Namu Amida Butsu' 108 times every morning on a mala, and read up on Pure Land buddhism. Apart from that, do nothing. Have absolute faith that through the Buddha's infinite grace and compassion your problems will be resolved.

Place your reliance on the Buddha's power and not your own power. Go about your life normally and don't fret about a solution. Do normal things, go shopping, meet friends, watch daytime TV.

Over time, and with patience, your problems will be resolved. I wish you the greatest luck on your path.

Namu Amida Butsu

Stop your qigong practice. Do simple breathing awareness exercise: choose a quiet and cool place, sit comfortably and be aware of your breathing. Whenbreathing in, tell yourself that you are breathing in, and do the same for breathing out. Breathing slow and deep without any rhymn. When there is distracting thought, be aware, telling yourself that there is this distracting thought, then put it away, and refocus on the breathing. Meanwhile, consult a good qigong master to rebalance your qi. Meanwhile, seriously no more practice.

As you can see the most common answer is- stop the energy practices.  If it weren't so bad I'd say slow it down, but they're right, you should probably stop.  I'd add do some grounding exercises, one of the best being long walks in nature.   Keep your mind on your feet, literally; feel each step, walk with an empty mind appreciating the sky, the air, the feel of the ground.

Sometimes when you have alot of energy in your head (anxious, angry etc.,), hard exercise is good way to get rid of it.  Work out long and hard til you're good and sweaty.

My experience conforms the above two advices. Meat, even heavy like pork once or twice a day for a while.

Long walks are cool but for very intense anxiety high intensity weight lifting that makes you almost vomit or pass out while your muscles feel like the're about to explode does the job better. the point being it automatically withdraws your attention from "the subtle body".

I dont know anything about qigong but it definitely is useful to focus on the gross.

Anxiety is a lack of vit B1 in your diet, or many other Bs vitamins. Nutritional yeast is the best source of B vitamins.

Many people who practiced Mantak Chia and forcefully pull sexual energy to there head experience the symptoms you are having. Never force sexual energy into your head....it will fuck you up.

There are many causes of anxiety, and not just nutritionally based. Trauma which can be physical, mental and emotional is one example. PTSD.

Hi Hanez, so sorry to hear you're going through this.. Having had some experience with psychosis, I know it can be a complete hell. But it's very possible that you can recover from it too.

If you find yourself in such a situation, try to stay centered and not add to things. Anything you have lost, you have lost in the past. You are here now and you can take back your life, no matter what kind of horrible sensations your body is going through. It may take some time, so be patient with yourself, even though you're completely out of patience!

It is important for you to regain ground in every day situations, no matter what is going on around you or in your body. Qi gong or meditation can still be done later on if you still desire that. First things first and find back some calm..

Don't do anything that is going to cause you or anyone else further harm. If you are having trouble discerning wether or not you're still capable of this, I highly recommend to seek out counsel with someone you trust, preferably go to a doctor too. People will listen to you and help you.. It may even be that it's best to take medications for a while if you're seeing a doctor. Just remember to not make things worse.

There is always someone you can trust. You will know this person and hear their advice more clearly.

Hi friend,

First of all:

1. Stop what you are doing.

Then:

2. Drop all that useless internet and book reading and learning you have been doing on your own.

After that:

3. Build yourself from the GROUND up. Wood chopping, squatting (weight training is great but you won't be doing anything

any other lifting exercises. Pure and simple squats), hiking, gardening, digging holes, etc.

You need to send all that Qi down. Expect a few years of work.

4. Counselling is for sissies. You need a smart internal martial artist to guide you.

5. Herbal medicine to guide all that Qi down. A competent TCM practitioner and practicing Taoist will know this. A book worm won't have a clue. I suspect you have been seeing this last type. Avoid.

I wish you a great recovery and the very best of luck.

:)

I would also say stop meditating/qigong for a longer time and start doing grounding things.Eat heavy things,do normal sports, and try to take cold showers daily maybe twice a day. There is nothing thats more grounding to me,it always helped with having to much energy. And try to relax while doing that!Salt baths are also good.Try to spend lots of time with family/friends also and keep away from spiritual thoughts/literature.Best wishes to you!I also had to do with similar problems but more before i started practicing. What also helped me was to stop eating onions/garlic and not so much spicy stuff.

Counseling is not for sissies and do not start searching for a teacher while you are in this acute state.

You need a psychiatric/neurology specialist to consult and possibly a therapist to help you map out what happened and find a few new tools and strategies to build in a positive direction, new coping mechanisms. Do not gamble with your mental health any more. You can overcome many sicknesses and injuries on your body with your mind as the primary tool but it's a hard path to do the reverse.

Psychosis is tricky and a recurring theme is that both you and your nearest and dearest are hurt if you all dont stay open and work in unison. Please do not feel as a victim of others or your own behaviour here but realize you have caught an illness. Illness can be cured and dealt with, guilt and shame and paranoia will only hurt you. Be honest to your close ones about what you are scared of and do not trust your instinct when it tells you they want to hurt and control you.

I agree with exercise advice and banish all your previous practices from your life immediately!

Make sure you get a nutritious diet, quiet place with people you trust who can help you, loop them in on what strategies and plans you have with your doctor or therapist.

If you have someone to help you financially swallow all pride and ask them, take a bit of stress off you. Find a hobby such as music or drawing or poetry, channel the fear and see how it is not dangerous, you will regain control and heal eventually, it seems scary now but you can do this.

I've had a similar issue as the result of an energetic practice going very badly wrong.

Although people on here may have good intentions, the vast majority don't know what they are talking about as they A: haven't had the experience themselves and had to work through it, and B: are not qigong/negong/nei dan masters or doctors and don't have the skill to help you.

In my experience, the only things that has really helped is working with people who is are very skilled qigong/nei gong practioners/masters in PERSON. I am still going through it and I have seem many people.

Try and find someone who has experience in working with this kind of problem and has the skill to be able to diagnose what is going on internally with you themselves (not you telling them and them repeating it parrot fashion back to you) and see where it takes you. They need to be able to see or feel what is happening internally with you, not give you some general TCM diagnosis.

Unfortunately the percentage of people about who are skilled enough and have experience with the kinds of problems you are dealing with is tiny.

As you are in Europe there might be a number of people may be able to help you.

Realistically it is unlikely that anyone will be able to 'cure' you, but the combination of working with someone who has experience with this kind of thing and an internal self practice that they suggest (once you are more stable) is the most likely solution.

Chapter 19 and after:

"Energetic deviations occur naturally through the course of everyday life; however, the body's energetic constitution is normally able to quickly cor- rect any disharmony in energy flow. The difficulty when cultivating Qi is not in the accumulation of large amounts of energy, but in the creation of a constitutional system strong enough to use this energy without being damaged by it. This is one reason why Qigong doctors initially spend years develop- ing the safety measures and internal reservoirs necessary to ensure that their bodies will not be dam- aged by creating too much energy too fast. The alteration of energetic patterns can result in feelings ranging from simple discomfort to an abnormal susceptibility to either disease or emotional instability. Through proper Medical Qigong therapy, however, Qi deviations can be rectified. "

You need to know if this is internal or external. I have spent a lot of time lately trying to figure out is it qi deviations or external dragons... ( if you know what I mean, than you know what I mean). My advice is to find acupuncturist who also knows about qigong ( I got lucky that I was introduced to one), my acupuncturist by needle patterns figured out it was not an internal qi deviation, but "external dragons". Note, this is a very delicate work and most of the acupuncturists would not know what they are dealing with. Most likely you got "too open" and invited some crap in. I also asked him what does "qi deviation" looks like and he told me "you would definitely know as things are "off" ( note, this is for a mentally healthy person, if you have a history of mental disorders, contact your teacher asap).  I do get sometimes internal qi deviations ( picking up new layers of crap to clean so to say) and it is very different when external winds are coming my way.

p.s. I also started taking herbs to strengthen weiqi field. ( something like this: https://www.planetherbs.com/specific-herbs/jade-screen-traditional-chinese-formula-to-strengthen-the-immune-system.html). While on "western" medicine it is for "flu" prevention, on the "spiritual" part it will not allow any external pathogens to get through, which will leave you with internal crap to clean up... and god help you with that... ( ask me how I know.. meow)

p.p.s this is not a medical advice and for general information only. Please consult your doctor in regard to any herbs/protocols.

oh, and gardening... it helps with energy overload... hard gardening work, put your hands in dirt and dig... and it seems you also don't know how to ground yourself ( many techniques, but most common one is to attach your own cord to the center of the earth. Don't feel bad though if you did not learn that, only my recent teacher taught me properly do that. Previous ones and "workshops" ones never even mentioned it or did it very vaguely. Qigong is a science and there are safety mechanisms in place, the problem is to discover it before you blow your brains out:P And because you are a boy, I would also suggest really good mindless  no energy circulation f%%k to release the energy and then hot/cold spa ( preferably hot springs if you have it in your area), cleans crap like magic:)

1) i started feeling quite strong emotions of fear and anxiety ( 10/10 ) and developed panic attacks. - kidneys

2) sometimes i would have burst of anger - liver

3) and little bit frequently i would feel quite strong feeling of sadness. - lungs

you are actually on a "walked by many" path. You need to find a qigong doctor who would prescribe you qigongs which would help with those organs. However, it might not work in a short term ( that's why I find acupuncture/moxa/some herbs a faster way to deal with this).

...

For fear ( personal experience) just remember the movie "Inception", when you hold either an Earth's equator or whatever in your mind and don't let it slip. I know that "FEAR", the all consuming irrational ( no reason attached) fear/darkness, it fucks up with you ALOT. Just hang on there. Also, they say praying helps, but I just recently started to remember do that. It actually helps.... at least to get out of that 10/10 fear state.

Hanez, I have experience, almost the same as your's, happened 15 years ago, i'm pretty much alright now.  The main thing i will say is this: DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE FEAR!!   you mentioned that the whole story will end badly in a month and a half... do not believe this!! please!  you are a strong being within and have power over your own actions and these choices will help determine your destiny, do not let anything direct your belief to a bad one, don't believe in these things that you have seen!  Nothing is set in stone, please remember that!

Remember your fears are not real, any thought, emotion or feeling is only as real as YOU allow it be!

Hope you feel better soon :)

Edward
