I've been reading The Tao of Pooh quite a bit. I learned that Nothingness is key to wisdom. If only I can fully grasp that concept...

I will be paid a hefty sum of money by the US government soon enough. And I have a strong urge to buy a PS3, despite my mom not wanting me to. But I truly believe that getting a PS3 will provide me with at least some sort of happiness...

I choose to listen to my heart. I'll go shop for a PS3.

during the week i do my daily chores and businesses, some random chosen bagua, qigong, TYS, Hu'a to, forms.

sometimes a random posture or a short section of tai chi or xingyi, playing with and see if i recognize something.

i have my university studies, student fellowship, tavern happy hours, grill out with neighbors, meditation and sleep with dreams and waking reverie,

there is communion with trees, birds, the animals i encounter, some dao bum fellowship,

Sundays are freestyle flowing randomness mainly bagua, i sense satisfaction and pleasure. the energy feels just rite.

This morning i drank tea with a trampoline,

made breakfast for my children,

and then got dressed.

While my daughter finished her breakfast bread,

we talked about cockroaches and why people didn't like them.

I told her they clean themselves often like our cat.

She told me that everyone is her Kindergarten class thought kissing was gross.

I asked her if they could explain to her why?

She decided that most people were silly and I agreed.

It's been a good morning.

I've been playing a lot of PS3 lately...

I went to Barnes and Noble and saw a longtime friend. I offered to buy him coffee and he refused. Either way, I was happy with my action.

I believe that kindness and generosity is parallel with Tao.

You can't be this serious???  Right??  Son, you are talking to someone who has received the Chan mind transmission from a dream and have been on the Dharma path for the past 20 years.  You are telling me you are with the Tao because your heart tells you to buy a PS3?  Son, you don't have a heart.  Your energetic energy has not reached to a point that your heart channel is open and being filled with Chi.  Your heart does not talk to you.

You are just a kid being attached to toys, fun and games.  I am a gamer too and in fact worked in the gaming industry in the past.  I have seen little kids losing their minds over games and to the point that making the parents upset.  Hehehehe....  They go crazy with games like Pokemon or Yogiho.  The older generation kids go crazy with Japanese animes and RPGs.  The big kids go crazy with shoot em up stuff and playing soldiers.

Oh, I recently built a mid to high end PC to play games like Fallout 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition and some racing sims.  Of course, I don't just play games with this PC.  I used it to do photography editing work.

You have a long ass way to go if you think you know the Tao......:)

Two things...

Number one, I am, in fact, serious.

Number two. I named this thread The Diary of a NOVICE Taoist for a reason.

I went to Barnes and Noble to get a frappuccino, and to my disappointment, it was flavorless. The guy didn't put enough of the good stuff in it. I didn't complain...

Then I went to Hastings to get a movie. When I went home, I realized that the movie that I got was something I already watched from before. More disappointment...

Perhaps disappointments are a part of a normal life. Perhaps such is Tao.

Being in the Tao is a practice of removal. Of finding what you really are. Of meditation, cultivation, and letting go.

Letting go of what you think you are, want and need, to find what you actually are.

Taoism can be a philosophical approach.... although it is extremely rare for a philosopher to ever even touch the experience of the tao.

Get into qigong, get into meditation, get into nei gong, get into internal alchemy.

The tao will move through you. It isn't something you 'do'.

It's almost midnight here...

Lately, I've been practicing the method of least resistance. I tried going with the flow instead of rigidly trying to control every little thing in my life. I must say I've been enjoying myself. I feel no struggles going on.

You shouldn't have many conflicts with the Taoist/Christian thing.  Still a Religious Taoist.

Yes, the path of least resistance.  I have problems with that some times.

Best wishes along your journey.

True path of least resistance!? -Affirming.- daily.- as much as possible foR the Long run!.,- "I am free from ALL POTENTIALITIES for Undesired/-Wanted Resistances in All Areas of my Life,".- ! tailor to fit yourself.,UA.-T.b.s.!

I bought two books by Robert Greene: The 33 Strategies of War and The 48 Laws of Power.

Both great books, and both I used to own until I gave them away because they were literally giving me too much of an advantage in life. I'm not kidding...

But since I am now more mature, I realized I would put such knowledge to better use. I simply couldn't resist buying them. I missed them so much, the way a father misses his children.

A part of me wants to study rigorously the 48 Laws of Power. Another part of me wants to read the Tao of Pooh.

Both are great books. I'm torn...

Hi everyone. It's been a while. I've been busy with other things.

Hopefully, I can start college this August. I'm going for Early Childhood Education. I'm gonna be a male preschool teacher, which is rare.

Lately, I've been reading books and working out. I've started powerlifting again and am gradually getting stronger. Hopefully, when school starts, I'd still have time to read.

As of today, I decided to come back here and resume my spiritual journey. I'm still a Christian, but I don't mind being a Taoist either.
